Augmented Intelligence

Verdelia, Little Martian, at Christie’s Augmented Intelligence. 20 February to 5 March 2025, at Rockefeller Center, New York.

Augmented Intelligence was the first auction at a major house dedicated to AI art. It gathered work from early pioneers of the 1960s such as Harold Cohen through to Refik Anadol, Pindar Van Arman, Holly Herndon & Mat Dryhurst, Alexander Reben, Claire Silver, Sasha Stiles and others.

The sale set out to explore human agency in the age of AI: robotics, GANs and interactive work alongside painting, sculpture, print and digital art. The exhibition stayed up at Rockefeller Center for the length of the online sale.

Verdelia went as a physical sculpture with a digital film attached, and was sold.
